Description Of The Game :

Tekken 6 is the eighth game in the Tekken series and was released in Japanese arcades on Monday, November 26, 2007 and worldwide for arcade machines as of January 2008. While having been released, it has been updated and patched by Namco-Bandai a few times. It is the first Tekken game to feature the Octave Engine, breakable floors, like in Dead or Alive, "Item Move" features for each character, the "Bound" system, and the "Rage" system (see below). It has been revealed by Namco-Bandai during a special press conference that Tekken 6 (arcade version) will NOT be released as a console version. Instead, the console version called Tekken 6, which will be released to the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360, will be the equivalent of Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion, which was a arcade-only game.
Tekken 6 sees the return of many familiar faces as well as new characters to create the largest line-up the series has ever seen. With a growing roster of fighters, each equipped with their own deadly techniques, martial art moves, and attack combinations, Tekken 6 promises to be the best "King of Iron Fist Tournament" yet. Adding to the already rich gaming experience, a deeper character customization feature will only enhance the incredible fighting intensity as players go mano-y-mano. Optimized for the PSP system, Tekken 6 not only contains all the explosive action of its home console brethren but also feature additional stages, content, items, and an ad-hoc multiplayer mode. Fighting amongst friends is encouraged as players can battle wirelessly against each other using original or fan favorite characters. Rounding out its list of impressive features is the return of the Ghost Infrastructure mode, which allows players to upload their "ghost" character data and download others' from the Internet onto their PSP system. When players have reached the height of their Tekken fighting skills, they will be able to see how they stack up against others through the game’s network support.


Altough the characters and movelists remain the same as it was in the console version there are some features missing in this game. Also there are secret stages available only by cheat codes like Gym, Temple, Hidden Retreat 2, etc.

Gameplay Of Tekken 6 :

Director Katsuhiro Harada (who also directed Tekken 5) said that Tekken 6 will retain all of the elements from Tekken 5 and Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection that were well-received by fans. Harada also said that the stages will have more interactivity. Harada promised the greatest character count the series has ever seen, along with heavily customizable character costumes. Also, the character customization feature will be more involved with gameplay. A new game system is the "Rage System". The lower your lifebar, the more attack damage your character will do. There will also be collapsing stages, like in the "Dead or Alive" series. Tekken 6 will use the Octave Engine.

New Features :

• The Gold Rush mode has returned, but now it is in the High Rollers Club stage and there's a bonus for attack variation which is the use of different attacks during the time of Gold Rush.
• There's a special Practice stage very similar to the stage of the previous game with the difference being that now the colors of the stage are Black/Gray/Brown instead of Black/Blue.
• Item moves remains the same for every character.
• The menus, command lists, and credits have been redesigned.
